Fishing Rules

 

1 Do not leave litter anywhere, keep the swim tidy, do not discard hooks or bait as we have dogs     that can be harmed.

2 Fishing from designated swim only, all carp to be returned to the lake as soon as possible.

   Fish over 40lb to be photographed in the water, waders are available to use.

3 You must only use the landing nets provided.

4 Treat our fish with care at all times.

5 Carp care kits must be used to treat all hook holds and any ulcers, sores or any other damage        the fish may have.

6 Maximum 3 rods per person. If 3 fishing 2 rods each.

7 Carp are not to be bullied to avoid mouth damage, you will be asked to stop fishing if you are       found doing this.

8 Barbless hooks only.

9 No fixed leads of any kind. We advise the use of back leads especially at night.

10 No keepnets or carp sacks.

11 Cradle, unhooking mat and sling to be used at all times.

12 No fires under any circumstances.

13 No bent hooks.

14 No particle baits to be used apart from prepared maize and pellets supplied on site.

15 No out of date feed to be used.

16 No plastic baits to be used, no explanation needed.

17 Maximum lead size 3oz.

18 No braided lines.

19 Minimum 15lb breaking strain line.

20 No swimming in the lake.

21 No smoking in the gite or bivvies
